About us

We started Beyond over five years ago, for one simple reason – we love the power of photography.

We’ve worked in, on, and around photography for over 20 years, in the research, production, art direction and marketing of commercial photography, many of them at leading photo agency Getty Images. We know why a picture is worth a thousands words, and also why, despite the billions of images available in the world today, a truly great photo still has the power to trigger an emotional response.

Based in London and Munich, Beyond has a European style, but with a global outlook.

Michele Vitucci lives in Germany but has an Italian passport and heritage, which helps explain his unique combination of efficiency and precision, coupled with passion, emotion and enthusiasm. Prior to Beyond, he worked in a number of senior management positions across Europe. In his spare time, he enjoys collecting contemporary Asian art, practising the martial art of kendo, and walking his dog, a Japanese Akita.

Andrew Duncomb lives in London, after many years bouncing across the Atlantic in sales and marketing roles in the US and Canada. Also a left-brain right-brain thinker, he narrowly avoided a career in insurance . When not involved in photography, he can be found renovating a house in the glorious English countryside, and preventing his three sons from destroying the garden.
